Q: Car won't start

asked by on June 22, 2017

I recently had my water pump and timing belts replaced. Car ran great. I noticed a whistling sound coming from somewhere and asked the mechanic, which he said was fine after inspecting briefly. I also had another amplifier added, making it a total of 2 amplifiers and a sub woofer installed maybe a week later. Again, everything was fine until I tried to start my car the next day after work and just got a single click. Lights come on, dim just a little when trying to start and I can't seem to jump it, which I've tried from another vehicle and also a charge pack. I'm going to check the battery when I get home, and also get the starter tested, is there anything else I should look for?

My car has 193300 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
