Q: Why engine check light comes on regularly

Why do engine light comes on regularly .I have diagnosis the issue and after diagnosis its says change battery pack .But the engine light comes on again after 2 hours drive or sometimes after 3 weeks.

My car has 155000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
