when stepping on gas the auto doesn't want to move but it seems the wheels are spinning

My car has 5000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hi there. If the wheels are spinning but the vehicle is not moving then the tires are more than likely work out. If it feels like the wheels are spinning, but they actually are not, then the transmission is failing. This car is notorious for having transmission failures. It can also be a broken cv axle but that is not as common. You really should have a transmission specialist take a look at your car.

I bought an ignition control module and no one seems to know where it goes. Is it in the distributor fuse box or computer or where
It is in the distributor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-does-a-distributor-work). Remove the distributor cap, remove the rotor. There are two connectors on the outside, and one on the inside. Be very careful with the one on the inside, it tends to be brittle. Two...
I think the motor is having a starting issue. New battery, separate solenoid, and put in a new starter. Are all the cables good?
Hey there. The starting system has to turn the engine over at a certain minimum rate (RPM) in order for the engine to catch and run. If there is no voltage drop between a new fully charged battery and the...
Would a faulty alternator cause smoking from under the hood on the passenger side?
If your alternator is failing, this can definitely cause it to smoke depending on how badly it has failed. When an alternator fails, the bearings inside usually have failed to a point that causes them to whine severely and, depending...

My check engine engine light is on and the computer (ECM) said it's a crank sensor problem.
Check the crankshaft position sensor and see if there is a loose wire or if the remote wiring is disabling the sensor. If the wiring is good and the sensor is hooked up properly, then I recommend replacing the crankshaft...
engine switch
The cost to replace the engine may exceed the value of the vehicle. It will cost less to replace the engine with a used one versus overhauling the existing engine.
