How do you set a PIN for a cell phone in the HandsFreeLink?

Your car’s HandsFreeLink® (HFL) system lets you set a security PIN for each of the six phones you can pair with it. Setting a PIN allows you to protect the phone from being accidentally deleted. Here’s how to create a PIN:

  1. Push the phone button

  2. Choose phone setup and then press the button on the center knob

  3. Choose passcode and push the button again

  4. Choose the phone you want to secure from the list. Push the button again

  5. Choose yes from the next menu and push the button

  6. Enter the PIN. It must be four digits

  7. Push enter

  8. Enter the PIN again to confirm and then press the button
