It sounds like the [alternator](/topics-alternator-dodge/) not charging the new battery you have or wiring cables from the battery to alternator
You need to check if the alternator is putting out 14 volts when the car is running?
the new battery if it dropped below 7 volts will not to be put on the charger and try restarting the car so you can then put voltmeter and see while it is running from the battery if the readings at battery terminals indicate 14 plus volts or 12 volts and draining down
that will be the first thing I would check
and then go from there
What is the mileage on the car now ?

If the Orignal alternator, it is possible it stops charging the car, at 168k
Now with that said,These have a PCM Controlled Altenator,in some cases the alternator is fine but the PCM needs replaced or rebuild,so you need to keep that in mind
