Q: My car has prolonged crank time and poor acceleration

asked by on March 25, 2017

My crankshaft sensor got spoilt and was recently replaced. However, I have noticed that it now takes an average crank time of 10 seconds to start the car. When driving too, the car doesn't accelerate well, unless the injector control pressure sensor is unplugged from the injector bar. Once that is done, it runs and drives well. The injectors were changed some few weeks ago prior to this acceleration-related issue. A friend who happens to be a mechanic checked and said the pressure in a certain bar to which the injector pressure sensor connects is quite low so it needs to be changed. I have not been driving it since the check engine light is also on. Kindly advice on the likely causes of the problem and possible solutions. Thank you
