Can i install a 1.4 cruze transmission on a 1.8 cruze ?

Hi there - GM delivered the Cruze with several models of automatic transmission. The 6T40 6-speed transmission, for example, was used with both the 1.4l turbo and 1.8l engines. Several other transmission were used uniquely with each engine size. As long as you swap in the same model transmission (i.e. 6T40) as currently exists in your car, you should be fine. Installing a non-matching transmission will likely lead to problems due to different transmission controllers, poor matching of gear ratios to the engine, etc. Good luck with your swap!
