Common reasons for this to happen:

Seat is not fully secured to vehicle

Over time, bolts and hardware holding the seat to the vehicle can loosen or wear out. Sometimes this can be fixed with a few turns of a wrench, so it should be addressed immediately for comfort and to ensure the safety of the car is maintained.

Worn out suspension parts

The suspension in a vehicle performs the task of keeping everything smooth and level while traveling down the road. If any components malfunction, become loose, or bend, then the result may be vibrations in the vehicle. In the case of a vibrating driver’s seat, suspension components in the rear are a likely culprit. If the vibration gets worse when the road surface is rough, then this is probably the source of the problem.

Warped brake disks or drums

Brake disks or drums provide a surface for the brake pads to grip onto when the brakes are applied in order to stop the car. If the rotor or drum is warped in any way, then the friction provided to the brake pads is intermittent. This intermittent friction can cause vibrations and often sounds like the brake is slipping on the disk. Vibration that occurs only during braking is an indicator that this is the problem.

Unbalanced wheels

In order to rotate smoothly and evenly, wheels must be properly balanced. If something happens to the wheel or tire that disrupts the distribution of weight, violent shakes and vibrations can occur. If the vibration occurs consistently around a certain speed, then this is likely the issue.
