Howard replaced my rear shock absorbers and one of the upper bolts was particularly difficult. This is the second time that I got this mechanic, and I was very happy to have someone who can give honest details about a project. He was on time and started right away. I provided the part, and he was very kind and gracious about working with it (granted, I told him "I need a Monroe for my driving style"). I expected the trouble bolt to take him longer than it did, he was so efficient! Two days later and the ride is so much smoother. I would highly recommend him in a heartbeat.
Little background on myself: I'm a 20-something female who drives high milage Nissans. Your Mechanic told me the mechanic that they had scheduled could not make it, so Omari to the rescue...which means that he had about 4 hours notice before the appointment. I usually have to weed out mechanics who think that I don't know what I'm talking about when my car acts up. Omari didn't give me any hassle whatsoever when I handed him a part that I bought, didn't try to convince me that it wouldn't work. Some mechanics tell and don't show when explaining problems to women. Omari is good in that he went over the problems like most mechanics will if they are talking it over with a guy...he will do some showing, some explaining, and some answer-that-annoying-question-ing. After fixing the problem, he stuck around for me to do a test drive and to help me wait for the Your Mechanic resolution center (alas, they are a bit slower than he is). I would definately ask for him again :)
