So helpful! Not only did he change my oil and rotate my tires, he showed me where my airfilter was, and how to change it myself. He was on-time, polite, and overall wonderful to work with!

Tom is a very good mechanic Wish there would be more people around like him. He fixed the problem in a very short time. I had this problem before and it took the Pontiac Dealer 4 month to fix it not to mention the cost. Thanks again Tom. Regards Juergen Westerwelle

The ignition now works but only when the tilt wheel is in the very lowest down position between my legs. If the tilt wheel is at the normal position, car will not start because key will not turn all the way to ignite the starter. Needs to be looked at again for adjustment of this problem. Car should start in any steering wheel position.

All about Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Many newer cars have computerized engine management systems that rely on sensors to report data to the computer. The crankshaft position sensor is used in conjunction with the camshaft position sensor to control ignition timing and to let the computer know when to inject fuel and provide spark sequence. Due to the mounting locations of this sensor, it is common for heat and oil leaks to cause this sensor to fail.
