What is the Horn all about?

The horn is normally located at the center of the steering wheel. It is used to make a vehicle’s presence known to pedestrians and other cars on the road.

  • A problem with the horn might just be a problem with the battery. Having the battery contacts cleaned may solve the issue.
  • A muffled horn can be just as bad as a broken horn.
  • Checking on the condition of the fuse box for the horn is important, to make sure dust and moisture are not present.

How it's done:

  • The vehicle hood is raised and secured in the open position
  • The battery is disconnected
  • The defective high or low horn is removed
  • A new horn is installed
  • The battery is reconnected and the horn tested for proper operation
