What is lubricating the hood hinge all about?

The hood of a vehicle is a movable panel that covers the engine. Hinges hold the hood to the rest of the vehicle. When the hood closes, the hinges ensure that the hood latches properly in the same position each time.

Keep in mind:

Inspect the latch mechanism of the hood, the hinges on the doors, and the hinges holding the trunk lid to the vehicle to assess if they could use lubrication as well. Robert did a fantastic job looking at my car. And helped me understand why my car was not starting and which I did not realize the terminal would create a short so the power wouldn't get to the starter. And than later on with Robert's full inspection advised me into getting two more things done with my car and explained to me why. Both minor things and which I mean not expensive but very important.
