Let me be clear that Patrick, my mechanic, was fine. He is not the reason this review is poor. The Your Mechanic company is the reason. I called with an issue with my liftgate latch. Firstly, the online quote didn't work and they needed me to call in. Then after the call, they needed me to call in again with my VIN. Then I needed to spend an additional 15-min on the phone with a team member, because they got my quote wrong –– during which I SPECIFICALLY asked them to a) check they had the replacement parts in stock and b) bring the parts needed to completely change the latch mechanism if it needed to be replaced–– and their rep said that was no problem. Today, on the day my car was supposed to be fixed, the mechanic arrived and DID NOT have the parts required to do the replacement (so he couldn't fix my issue). Then on-top of that he told me he would have to order them in, which would take additional time. So now my issue isn't fixed, I had to pay a $100+ inspection fee, and I'll have to wait until they order the part and return if I want them to continue the repair. My hope with this was that I would have a quick repair that would be cheaper and easier than bringing it the dealership. It absolutely has been the opposite of that. Maybe this service is good for some things, but I am extremely unimpressed with my experience so far–– and I am going to post this honest review on a a third party review site also so people can see it.
