Ben was great! I thought my alternator was bad but he found that it was the water pump, which was being replaced as part of the timing belt kit anyway. Ben saved me some money! He explained what he was doing, he was very professional and he's a great guy on top of it all. I'd have Ben work on my cars again without question! I'd give him six stars if I could. Thanks Ben!

Peter was very helpful and answered all of my questions about my van. I needed a second opinion about some work I had done at the dealership and he confirmed what the issues were (and weren't). I waited too late to make my appointment for the actual service, so now I've got that appointment tomorrow. For some work I would've paid $1,100 for at the dealership I only have to pay $120 and Chet (the mechanic doing the service) is coming to me! Thank God for!

I marked Timothy arriving on time. Actually, he was 20 minutes late but he communicated properly that he was going to be late and when he was in transit. That was acceptable to me. He proceeded with the analysis without getting distracted by my frequent questions and comments. I basically only needed the oil change service but I appreciate having a to-do list with further needed repairs as I can afford them. The service is a needed alternative to dealer and independent shops, which are loaded with facility and management overhead. Keep up the good work.

All about Alternator Replacement

The alternator is the component that charges the battery in your car. When you use electrical components in your car (stereo, lights, etc.), the battery loses power. The alternator recharges the battery, replenishing the lost battery power. The alternator is located in the engine compartment. If the alternator is not working properly, your car will only stay running for as long as the battery has power stored. Once the battery loses power, your car will not start. Normally, a malfunctioning alternator will turn on the battery warning light or will have a low volt gauge reading.
