Josh cares about his customers and got straight to the job at hand. The communication was very transparent in telling me about the used care I intend to purchase. He admitted that were some issues to expect down the road. The mileage on the car being one, and what corrections I would need to make in the long run. I plan on using him to resolve the issue when it arrives. Josh did a great job inspecting the vehicle, and allowing me to go on the test run to tell me what was and was not happening.

As someone who was new to hiring a mobile mechanic, I wasn't really sure what to expect. Patrick was kind and professional, and made the process quick and easy. He worked quickly and I never felt like he was trying to sell me anything or get me to pay more than I needed to. He was very straight forward and also showed me what he was doing which was nice. Will definitely recommend to others!!

Patrick did a great job he is a very well qualified mechanic. And he is most pleasant to work with very courteous and helpful. We had one oxygen sensor that the GM company sent us that was the wrong plug and part. Patrick noticed it right way and I had to reschedule him to come back when I receive the replacement. So helpful! Not only did he change my oil and rotate my tires, he showed me where my airfilter was, and how to change it myself. He was on-time, polite, and overall wonderful to work with!

All about Oxygen Sensor Replacement

With each new model year, manufacturers are adding more oxygen sensors to better manage engine operation. Some high performance engines have an oxygen sensor for each cylinder as well as one for the rear of each catalytic convertor. The sensors are located either underneath the hood or underneath the car. The oxygen sensors are connected (screwed) to the exhaust pipe, either in front or back of the catalytic converter. The front (upstream) sensors measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust system. The purpose of the front oxygen sensor(s) is to measure how rich or lean the gases are as the gases exit the combustion chamber. Depending upon whether the exhaust gas is lean (high in oxygen content) or rich (low in oxygen content), the amount of fuel entering the engine is adjusted by the engine management computer to try and maintain an ideal mixture that produces the lowest emissions output from the catalytic convertor. Rear (downstream) sensors are located behind the catalytic converter. The purpose of the rear oxygen sensor(s) is to monitor the oxygen content of the exhaust gases leaving the catalytic convertor. If one or more of the oxygen sensors are faulty, your car may not pass the emissions test. If you drive your car with a faulty oxygen sensor, you may get poor gas mileage and it can damage the catalytic converter.
