Peter was absolutely outstanding. He arrived early for an appointment to replace one of my car's engine mounts, and completed the job faster than anticipated. Beyond that, he diagnosed a problem that had just come up with my car's air conditioning system the night before (an internal wiring coil on the AC compressor was broken), that wasn't part of the scheduled service. He also noticed that my car's windshield wipers needed to be replaced, which I had just picked up the day before and had planned to replace myself after the engine mount replacement service call, did the replacement himself at no additional charge.

My first experience with this website so I was a bit nervous, but Tom showed up and was very nice and is a great mechanic. I would recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having work done in the area. The car ended up needing power steering fluid which Tom was awesome enough to leave the rest of the power steering fluid with me in case it needed more.

All about Engine or Transmission Mount Replacement

An engine mount, made of rubber and steel, has two purposes. One, it secures the engine and transmission to the frame of the car, and two, it absorbs the road shocks and engine vibrations so that the driver does not feel any engine movement. Transmission mounts secure the transmission. Most cars have multiple engine and transmission mounts. If one of the mounts breaks, you will feel significant engine movement (vibrations and/or shaking).
