This was my first experience with YourMechanic.com and I couldn't be more thrilled! I was a little nervous at first but Richard put me totally at ease. He tolerated all of my questions and explained everything he was doing. It was pouring down rain but he could not have been more pleasant. I have shouted to the rooftops to everyone I know that YourMechanic.com and Richard are the way to go if you need any work done. I already have another appointment scheduled to get my brakes worked on later this week. Thanks Richard!

Excellent service. Timothy performed a thorough buyer's inspection on a used car I was considering. He took the time needed for a detailed evaluation.

He was very friendly and explained to me about my brake pads and a piece that had been missing so I didn't know they needed changing sooner. Gave me a quote for further repairs. Very educated. Will definitely be using him again.

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
