For me, the most important thing with a mechanic is that they can explain to me what's wrong in terms I can understand. I was very glad Lucas could do this. His time estimates were accurate for the work he said he needed to do, and my car is good as new! This while process went very well and was a great relief.

Dave called me to see if I was available sooner today, which was a bonus for me. He showed up in a very timely manner & was very easy to communicate with. He was very efficient, and at the end spoke with me about future recommended work in a way that I was able to understand. I highly recommend Dave & will most certainly be booking all of my future appointments with him!

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
