I was very happy with the service provided by Patrick. My AC was blowing out hot air. I had been told by Doctor Auto that I needed a new compressor, which was going to be quite expensive. Luckily, I decided to call Your Mechanic. Patrick was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He called a few days before the appointment to ask a few questions so he could be sure to bring the right parts. He arrived on time on the day of the appointment, then spent some time to do a thorough check of the AC system, and informed me that he did not believe I needed a compressor. He fixed a slow leak, did an AC recharge and then added refrigerant. The AC is now blowing very cold air, and he fixed it for a fraction of what I was told by Doctor Auto. I will definitely call Patrick again for future repairs, and would highly recommend him.

All about Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

The camshaft position sensor monitors the position of the camshaft and reports that data to the car’s onboard computer system. This computer system works with sensors and other devices to keep the engine running. With data from the camshaft position sensor (CPS), the fuel injectors know when to fire. When the sensor malfunctions, the computer does not know when to fire the injectors and may not fire them at all. The faulty readouts may also throw off spark timing, which will affect the car’s fuel economy. This sensor is used in conjunction with the crankshaft position sensor to control ignition timing. It is common for heat and oil leaks to cause this sensor to fail, due to where the sensor is located.
