Jose

Jose is your guy. Has great experience, worked quickly, thoughtful with his calls about his arrival time, and happy to chat, and let me hang out and learn from his work with my car. At one point, a small, rice sized piece of the carburetor system was dropped, and he persistently looked for it throughout the engine and garage until we found it. I think most mechanics would give up and have to delay the repairs until a new one could be ordered. Jose restored life within an hour to my 30 year old Jeep that had not been operational for over 3 years, and now it's running like new. I'll definitely request Jose next time I need help with my rig.

David

David was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Our fifteen year old Jeep was officially "non-operational" and we were thinking about donating it if the cost to repair was too high. With My Mechanic, we didn't have to tow the car to have it looked at. David came to the house, figured out the problem; and the cost was minimal. Only $10 over the initial service visit charge. We will definitely request David again for our other cars! This is a great business model and we got a great mechanic!

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
