What is the Engine Mount all about?

An engine mount, made of rubber and steel, has two purposes. One, it secures the engine and transmission to the frame of the car, and two, it absorbs the road shocks and engine vibrations so that the driver does not feel any engine movement. Transmission mounts secure the transmission.

Most cars have multiple engine and transmission mounts. If one of the mounts breaks, you will feel significant engine movement (vibrations and/or shaking).

Came out for what I thought was a wheel bearing swap on my truck. Upon inspection he told me probably wasn't a bearing and explained why he felt that way. He even checked the other side to make sure the noise was not traveling to the side I just thought it was on. Very courteous and prompt. Explained thing very well. Since I pull a large heavy 5th wheel it is good to know he feels nothing is wrong. Would definitely use him again for anything else..
