This was our first time to use Your Mechanic. My husband and I were both really pleased with the services. Pete was very professional. He explained what he was doing so both of us could understand. We could'nt have asked for a better mechanic. Your Mechanic is a very convenient service that I feel is much needed in our area. Thanks for a great job Pete.

Chris is a professional, well trained, and punctual technician. He will do his best to explain questions you have but we all no some people just don't get mechanical work and you can't explain anything to them. He will make suggestions if he sees something that was not on your report for the sake of you having a safe vehicle because I feel he genuinely cares about people and the safety of others on the road. Example being my clutch is out and Chris inspected that but also notified me the wear tabs on my front brakes were something to be considered for inspection and that I should look at doing that fairly soon as to prevent higher cost in repairs at a later date. Thank you Chris

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
