What is the Heater Blower Motor all about?

The heater blower motor forces air through the vents. You are able to control the speed of the motor through switches, buttons, and dials on the dashboard. The motor contains a resistor which allows it to change the speed of the fan. Without this part you will not be able to change the speed of the airflow from the blower motor.

Keep in mind:

A bad connector can cause a heater blower motor to stop working, even if the blower motor is still in working condition.
Sometimes the heater blower motor stops working because it is jammed or stuck; in this case it can been repaired rather than replaced.
If the heater blower motor has been damaged by a fluid leak, then another component of your vehicle is malfunctioning and needs to be addressed.

How it's done:

Inspect electrical circuits to check for power and proper grounding to motor.
Remove and replace the faulty motor.
Confirm that the heater is working.

I bought Your Mechanic's $10 mobile oil change deal through amazon local deals, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the service they provided. Horocio, the mechanic showed up as scheduled, and on time. He was very friendly and professional and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, without rushing through anything. He could have rushed through just to get done sooner, but checked everything and made sure to carefully explain what he had checked, done,and then made further recommendations on what my car needed to run good. He was very knowledgable and seemed passionate about his profession. I would definitely recommend Horocio, and won't hesitate to ask for him next time around.. Very honest, friendly and professional.
