Jerel fixed my timing belt and water pump. It did not help my car to start however. He did tell me this was a possibility as the belt broke while I was driving. He could not advise of the likelihood it would be successful. I later spoke with Neil Becker at Becker Automotive who said the Pistons will always be bent after a timing belt goes in this car. Had I known this beforehand I would have known not to throw good money after bad. He was very professional and courteous however. He diagnosed the problem immediately but unfortunately did not give me enough information to make a fully informed decision. I would definitely use him again for something different.

This was my first experience with Your Mechanic and I will return again. There was a slight glitch with the system, but Christopher made sure everything was straightened out regarding the price before he even began the service. Christopher was extremely professional and courteous. As an aside, he was the first person EVER to turn off the annoying service light. Highly recommend!

All about Intake Manifold Gaskets Replacement

The intake manifold is an aluminum, steel or plastic cover that sits on top of the engine. It is attached to the top of the engine by an intake manifold gasket (or gaskets) that is made of plastic and rubber. The intake manifold directs the air-fuel mixture in the engine to the corresponding cylinder where it is burned to produce power. The coolant flows through the intake manifold to the cylinder heads to reduce engine temperature. Expansion, contraction, and heat from the engine cause the gasket to fail. This will cause coolant passing through the intake manifold to leak. A leaky manifold gasket can also result in air being sucked through the leaky gasket, resulting in a vacuum leak and poor engine performance.
