Everything you need to know about oil changes

Engine oil is the lifeblood of the engine. It's imperative to choose quality oil such as Mobil 1 because its been developed to provide cars with premium protection and performance. The oil resides in the oil pan, which is under the car attached to the bottom of the engine. All internal (moving) parts of the engine need to be lubricated by the engine oil. Inadequate lubrication will cause the parts to wear out faster and eventually lead to engine failure. An oil filter keeps the oil clean and free of debris. If the filter is not replaced on a regular basis, it will get clogged and will not be able to pass oil into the engine.

  • When the oil is changed you should always replace the oil filter.

Ron made contact about an hour prior to my appointment time to determine whether I was available for him to start working on my vehicle early. He was friendly and pleasant. He answered questions for me regarding other services that I hadn't booked yet, that I was curious about. He was fast and very organized. I requested more than one service and he finished them all in about 2 hours versus my going to the dealer, where the services normally take more than 4 hours. I don't see myself ever visiting a dealership again if "Your Mechanic" can take care of my vehicle needs. This mobile mechanic service is convenient and much more affordable than service or repairs at a dealership. After finding the service online and having problems getting appointments at my dealership, at my convenience and to accommodate my hectic schedule, I'd already shared the information with 2 friends and 1 relative with foreign cars the same night.
