Patrick was early and contacted me so I would know he was here. He was very patient and understanding when I had to run back to the store and exchange the parts. Autozone gave me the wrong roadie. Patrick noticed it and I had to leave to exchange the parts. While I was gone he submitted a quote for other items I need work done. We had chatted while he was getting started about doing non-engine related work. I told him about the areas I needed fixed and he put in the quote so I could see if and when I court get this work done.

Exceptional service!! My wife's brakes were squeaking on our 2012 Jeep Liberty, so we scheduled to have both front and rear brakes done for $249, which was $150 less than the quotes I got from garages. Honestly, I was skeptical of the service. I half expected to be charged once more once the mechanic got to our house. However, Mike showed my that my front brakes were still good, and he did not replace them or charge us--he only charged us $124 TOTAL to come out to our house, replace the rear brakes, and inspect the front brakes! He even threw in a free tire rotation!! In addition, he was on time, very professional, and finished in less than an hour. This service is awesome--I am recommending Mike Fink and to all of my friends!! This was hands-down the best experience I have ever had getting a car serviced. Thanks Mike!!

Jason showed up actually a little early, true sign of professionalism. He had to run somewhere to grab a grinder while half way through the job, and didn't show any sign of aggrivation. He was extremely polite and will be recommending him to anyone I know who comes across any car issues.

All about Serpentine/Drive Belt Replacement

The serpentine/drive belt or v-belt is a rubber belt that connects the alternator, power steering, and AC to the part of the engine (crankshaft) which transfers the power from the engine to those components. Without this belt, the battery will not get charged and none of the electrical accessory components in the car will work. The serpentine belt and v-belt are also known as "drive belts." Because of the high amount of heat in the engine, the belt can develop cracks over time and eventually break. If the belt breaks, the steering wheel will be difficult to turn and driving will be hazardous. In some cars, water pumps are driven by the drive belts. If the belt breaks, water and coolant needed to keep the engine cool will not properly flow to the engine. The engine will overheat, potentially causing severe damage.
