Assuming the linkage between the throttle pedal and the engine is unobstructed (something you can check visually by checking around the gas pedal or floor mat for foreign objects that may be obstructing the path of the gas pedal), a sticky gas pedal is almost always due to accumulation of unwanted goo at the throttle body. This makes the action of opening and closing the throttle a notchy, imprecise operation.

Common reasons for this to happen:

  • Throttle body is stuck
  • Gas pedal sensor malfunction
  • Accelerator cable broken
  • Accelerator pedal return spring broken

What to expect:

A top-rated mobile mechanic will come to your home or office to determine the cause of the stuck gas pedal, and will then provide a detailed inspection report that includes the scope and cost of the necessary repairs.

How important is this service?

A stuck gas pedal presents a potentially dangerous situation and should be inspected by a professional mechanic as soon as possible.

Jeep Wrangler L6-4.0L - Oil Change - Pacifica, California
First, let me say I absolutely love this business. I am moving out of town tomorrow and needed a quick oil change before I drive cross country so I was checking out some shops around town before remembering I had run across these guys' Facebook ad. I went online Saturday and scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 3 PM on Monday afternoon. I was immediately informed that James Sommers would be my mechanic and received a few emails confirming my appointment. Because I am a first time customer I received the oil change at my door for only $10. To be honest, at this point, I didn't expect much from a $10 oil change, since I usually pay more for supplies when I do this myself. However, I was pleasantly surprised when James called Sunday night to confirm our appointment, showed up right on time, and was very personable. He knocked the job out quickly, chatting with me through the whole process. After telling him I was going on a long road trip, he gave me a few more pointers and was on his way. All in all, I could not be happier with the service, and am now just upset that back in Chicago I will not be able to use this service. I highly recommend this service to everyone! Thanks James! Here's to hoping expansion happens quickly!!!
