On the technical side, Chris has done a fantastic job. He obviously knows his stuff and breezed through the jobs. As a new member of the YourMechanic team, there's still room for improvement on the customer service side (which he realizes fortunately). I understand that coming from the "shop" environment to customer-facing situation takes some time to get used to, as old habits die hard. Overall, I had a good experience.

Man... what a hassle free experience! Setting up the appointment was real easy, and Jonathan showed up 15 minutes early which was great! Gave him my keys and he got right to work. 20 minutes or so later, I signed his iPad, and he was off to another job in the dreaded Phoenix summer heat! Good stuff, Jonathan! He's a nice guy and works hard! Try to park in the shade for him or any of these other guys if you can! It's the humane thing to do.

All about Oil Change

Engine oil is the lifeblood of the engine. The oil resides in the oil pan, which is under the car attached to the bottom of the engine. All internal (moving) parts of the engine need to be lubricated by the engine oil. Inadequate lubrication will cause the parts to wear out faster and eventually lead to engine failure. An oil filter keeps the oil clean and free of debris. If the filter is not replaced on a regular basis, it will get clogged and will not be able to pass oil into the engine.
