Jeffrey arrived on time, maybe even a little early! He got right to the problem of the car not starting and got it started without a problem (we tried unsuccessfully to jump start it before setting the appointment). Jeffrey was very helpful and we already have another appointment set to get a new battery in one car and to have the oil changed in our other one. Our first experience with YourMechanic and Jeffrey was excellent.

Robert Hall is an extreme professional mechanic. He knew exactly what he was looking for when he diagnosed my car problem. He completed the repair in the time he said he would.Would have been sooner if he hadn't answered my many questions.A real gentleman. If I ever need my car serviced again by Your Mechanic, I hope its Robert again.I totally trust his judgement and work.I thought I was a fanatic about doing things right, but I think Robert out shines me in that department.

Casey

So yourmechanic quoted me 1.5 hours labor, which seemed pretty low for a radiator, and it was explained by Casey that wasn't his time quote and it ended up being 3 hours, but he charged me 2.5.. and they gave him the wrong upper hose, but researching online for my car the upper hose isn't made by standard sources, including GM. He ended up trimming the old hose frayed ends and put it back on. A second appointment to install upper hose probably had another wrong hose sourced, but I ended up selling the car a few days later and relaying the issue to the new buyer.

All about Car Thermostat Replacement

A thermostat is part of the cooling system that regulates the temperature of the coolant in the engine. The thermostat is a metal valve that has a temperature sensor built in. It can either be open or closed. When the thermostat is closed, it keeps the coolant in the engine. When the engine gets to a predetermined temperature, the thermostat opens allowing coolant to circulate. The circulation of coolant prevents the engine from overheating. If the thermostat fails to open, the car will overheat. If the thermostat fails to close, the engine may never reach the optimal temperature (~220F). The thermostat opens and closes many times when the car engine is running. It is the most common component in the cooling system to fail, causing the car to overheat.
