The service provided was excellent! I couldn't have asked for a better mechanic than Patrick who not only was knowledgeable and efficient, but cared enough to go above and beyond to help the situation. That was greatly appreciated and is really all you can ask for in this type of service. I'm so glad I tried "YourMechanic"! I highly recommend trying them if you are in need of service for any situation. Patrick is a 10 for sure.

Trung was great. He happened to be in my neighborhood the day before the appointment and he took the opportunity to look at my car and double-check that I needed all of the service items I had requested. He told me that some of the items the dealer had recommended weren't necessary at this time which saved me a lot of money.

Prompt, courteous, showed me how to see that one belt was loose and cracked from age and that the other two were cracked. He came to replace the loose one but was prepared with the others. Explained that they would be OK for awhile or he could do all at once in same hour of labor. After price check and my approval he replaced all three. Now my old '88 truck will keep on keepin' on without another belt going out. He then checked out the whole truck and made recommendations of other minor repairs but left me feeling assured that these could wait for my budget to be ready. Thank you Max.

All about Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Many newer cars have computerized engine management systems that rely on sensors to report data to the computer. The crankshaft position sensor is used in conjunction with the camshaft position sensor to control ignition timing and to let the computer know when to inject fuel and provide spark sequence. Due to the mounting locations of this sensor, it is common for heat and oil leaks to cause this sensor to fail.
