Assuming the linkage between the throttle pedal and the engine is unobstructed (something you can check visually by checking around the gas pedal or floor mat for foreign objects that may be obstructing the path of the gas pedal), a sticky gas pedal is almost always due to accumulation of unwanted goo at the throttle body. This makes the action of opening and closing the throttle a notchy, imprecise operation.

Common reasons for this to happen:

  • Throttle body is stuck
  • Gas pedal sensor malfunction
  • Accelerator cable broken
  • Accelerator pedal return spring broken

What to expect:

A top-rated mobile mechanic will come to your home or office to determine the cause of the stuck gas pedal, and will then provide a detailed inspection report that includes the scope and cost of the necessary repairs.

How important is this service?

A stuck gas pedal presents a potentially dangerous situation and should be inspected by a professional mechanic as soon as possible.

Nissan 350Z V6-3.5L - Battery is dead - Santa Clara, California
Showed up a little late (which was due to traffic), but assessed my situation perfectly: bad battery, needs to be replaced. Troubleshooted the situation as I would have expected. A follow up appointment has been scheduled to replace the battery.

Nissan 350Z V6-3.5L - Control Arm Assembly Replacement (Front Upper Left, Front Upper Right, Front Lower Left, Front Lower Right) - Houston, Texas
Emanuel came to the house this morning to fix the "350Z (2004) roadster" control arm replacement on both front tyre. He is experienced, knowledgeable and get it setup straight away upon arrival. He would take time to explain the problem and have me check out the damage before he replace with a new sets of control arms. There was a missing parts which yourmechanic company did not advise him on that and he got it sorted right away. He drove and got the ad - hoc missing parts within 45 mins and go straight back to it with the fixing. The extent of driving out to get those parts is a value added service which I do appreciate which not many out there will do it and will certainly re arrange a date for this situation. 5 stars for Emanuel and I would strong recommend him to anyone in Houston to hire his service on autoparts. His experience and customer service attitude will definitely go a mile further to address any issue with your car. Brilliant job well done!!!
