I can't get my key to turn in the ignition. We have tried jiggling the [steering wheel](/topics-steering-wheel-nissan/) and it is in a locked position and we are having no luck.

My friend was driving in 4wd off our muddy road. He stopped at the bottom and took it out of 4wd and went and unlocked his manual hubs. Got in the truck and now can't shift it out of park. It doesn't appear that the linkage is damaged or bound up, but he can't shift out of park.
