Patrick called and asked if he could show up EARLY to fix my truck. I said yes and he arrived when he said he would and had the issue fixed within no time. Patrick even took the time to check my fluid and oil levels. Patrick is a great guy and I have ALREADY recommended youmechanic.com to other friends, especially if they are able to get Patrick. I cannot say enough about how great he is; a true professional. THANKS PATRICK!!! PLEASE SHOW THIS MESSAGE TO PATRICK

Jay contacted that he would be late and I appreciated the call. Prior to working on the car he made sure that parts were correct and that the problem wasn't something else. Work was completed on time and he also provided other services that the car may need in the future.

All about Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement

The camshaft position sensor monitors the position of the camshaft and reports that data to the car’s onboard computer system. This computer system works with sensors and other devices to keep the engine running. With data from the camshaft position sensor (CPS), the fuel injectors know when to fire. When the sensor malfunctions, the computer does not know when to fire the injectors and may not fire them at all. The faulty readouts may also throw off spark timing, which will affect the car’s fuel economy. This sensor is used in conjunction with the crankshaft position sensor to control ignition timing. It is common for heat and oil leaks to cause this sensor to fail, due to where the sensor is located.
