It is so refreshing, when you know as little as I do as to what goes on under the hood, to find a mechanic who is friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and 110% caring about his clients and Noe is that man. I would recommend him to anyone who needs reliable and amazing service.... Top man!

Jose

Jose was able to determine that my Blazer's issue WAS related to my engine [as my original mechanic suspected]. That means that the initial mechanic, whom I scheduled through "Your Mechanic," misdiagnosed. He insisted it was the A/C compressor, leaving me hopeful [and paying for a second inspection for work that won't be economical for me to complete]. Jose examined my Blazer like a medical clinician would examine a person. He checked various areas under the hood, using a tool to listen & feel with, while the engine was running. He also had me do the same, so I could understand how he was able to quickly rule out where the problem WASN'T coming from. He determined it was coming from the back of the engine [what I was afraid of, from the start]. So, basically, the first inspection was a bust....which didn't leave me with much confidence in my pre-purchase inspection of the Subaru, done by the same mechanic. It's a shame, because I found him likable and he seemed honest. But I don't feel encouraged to use him again. Additionally, in discussing my friend's Subaru, that I am currently driving, I learned, from Jose, that the timing belt should be given a greater priority status than either of us were giving it. I will have to check with my friend, to be certain; but I will likely want to schedule maintenance with Jose soon. I work nights, but I could schedule in the morning....better yet, on a Thursday or Friday. But, again, I will wait have to wait for approval from the car's true owner [even though I was intending to pay for it, myself].

Brandon arrived early and was ready to look at my car. He quickly diagnosed the core problems and was able to make a quick fix within a few minutes. He also gave me a car a full look-over and was able to suggest some additional services/repairs I could do to my car to keep it running in good condition. He was friendly, transparent about the steps he was taking with me car and explained things to me that I normally don't get from a typical shop. A great first experience with YourMechanic.

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
