I was a little worried at first never having used yourmechanic.com and having a timing belt and water pump replaced is no small task, but Pete was more then Up to the challenge. Pete was friendly but professional and immediately got to work and everything went smoothly. Pete did run into a small issue with some rusty bolts when he was installing the new water pump but was able to locate some new ones and finish the job In a timely matter. Overall i am very happy with the service provided and would recommend it to others.

Pete Hambly did the repair of the front struts of my car. Even before meeting him, he communicated very well and helped make sure that everything was ready for the day of service. He arrived early, and upon finding out that we could not do the repair in my apartment garage, he helped find a new location to do the repair. Throughout the repair Pete was very friendly and approachable, and did a great job on the repair even though it was a complicated process. I felt like he was fully transparent about the work he was doing on the car. The cost was about half of what I would have paid at my dealership service and the service was far better. Thank you Pete and YourMechanic for your excellent service. I will not hesitate coming to you the next time I need my car serviced!

All about Ball Joint Replacement

Ball joints are a part of your vehicle's suspension system that connect the steering knuckles to the control arms. A ball joint is essentially a flexible ball and socket that allows the suspension to move and, at the same time, the wheels to steer. Cars and trucks will have multiple ball joint assemblies depending on their type of suspension system. Like any other suspension component, ball joints will eventually wear out and become loose. Excessive play in the joint can affect wheel alignment and tire wear. Loose joints can also cause suspension noise (typically a "clunking" sound when going over a bump). If a ball joint fails, the suspension can collapse, causing a loss of control of the vehicle.
