What is servicing the battery/cables all about?

Great work and helpful... Got charged more than what they quoted me on a regular oil change .. Not his fault...very punctual... Great job P.s. I don't think he even checked the 50point service... Cuz car was low on coolant as I drove around for a while ... Must have forgotten
