I was pleased with my first experience with Your Mechanic. Trung in particular provided a very high level of service. He was on time, communicated well, diagnosed the problem, gave me detailed instructions on the 12 volt battery I needed for my Prius, and followed me home to make sure I got there ok. This was above and beyond, and I am very grateful.

Appointment was at 9am. He called me a few minutes before 9am telling me it would take 30 minutes before he was there. Arrived at my home at 10am and got right to work. Was done at 11:30am the length of time that was quoted. Very professional and very educated on cars. Showed me other problems that needed to be addressed. Will use him again the future.

Post-rotation tire balance seems great. Both check engine light and pressure warning light are happily staying off now; many thanks for all! :)

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
