I had an appointment with Ben for oil change and tire rotation. The appointment was at 3 pm but Ben arrived a couple hours later because he was stuck at his previous appointment. However, Ben did a great job and he dint rush through the service even though it was at the fag end of the day. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took time to explain what he had done and also answer some of my questions. I'd definitely recommend Ben. My only dissatisfaction would be that no one called to notify me that Ben would be arriving late. I had to call YourMechanic half hour past my appointment time and ask them.

This was my first experience with YourMechanic.com and I couldn't be more thrilled! I was a little nervous at first but Richard put me totally at ease. He tolerated all of my questions and explained everything he was doing. It was pouring down rain but he could not have been more pleasant. I have shouted to the rooftops to everyone I know that YourMechanic.com and Richard are the way to go if you need any work done. I already have another appointment scheduled to get my brakes worked on later this week. Thanks Richard!

Toby did a very good job identifying the problem. I thought it was the starter and it was actually the battery; thus saving us money.

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
