Brandon was an excellent, personable and professional mechanic who showed up early and got the job done in record time. He was even kind enough to ride along with me on a test drive to ensure the car worked properly after the service. I would recommend Brandon to anyone as he's the first mechanic I've ever had who hasn't tried to upsell me on services or rip me off. Five stars and thank you for being awesome!

I was shopping around for quotes to replace my brakes and it hit me, do I really want to go wait at a car shop for hours while they work on the brakes? I did a google search for mobile mechanic thinking I would find some local mechanics and the first link I found was YourMechanic and they offered instant online quotes. I was blown away by that. So I put in the info and the price was cheaper than anywhere that was quoted AND I could schedule when I wanted to be done without ever having to leave my house. I gave it a shot. #1 - I scheduled for Sunday morning at 8am which is unbelievable that you could get car service that early in the morning on a Sunday. #2 - YourMechanic said to allow an hour for the mechanic to arrive. Rod arrived at 8:05am and got started right away. He looked at the car and asked for the parts and got started right away. I didn't have to wait for car after car to be worked on before a shop finally got to my car #3 He changed the brakes and rotors so quickly. He had all the necessary tools that he needed. It took him about 45 minutes to an hour to actually do the work. #4 After changing the brakes, he test drove the car and noticed something strange. Upon investigation he found out exactly what the problem was and provided me a quote to have it fixed #5 Rod checked all the fluids in the car, checked the cause of the check engine light #6 After Rod was done, I received an email with a report of the service done and PICTURES of everything. WHO DOES THAT??? This report is accessible online and they maintain my service records with them. THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST CAR SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. GREAT PRICE, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT MECHANIC! I would recommend YourMechanic & Rod as their mechanic to anyone!

All about Spark Plug Replacement

The spark plugs are an important part of the ignition system. When you turn the ignition key (car's key) on, it causes the ignition coil to generate the spark which ignites the air-fuel mixture in the engine cylinders to start the engine. The number of spark plugs in the car is the same as the number of cylinders, although some vehicle manufacturers will use two spark plugs per cylinder. Over time, the spark plugs wear out and require replacement. When the spark plugs wear out, it is harder for it the air-fuel mixture to ignite, resulting in engine misfires. If one of the spark plugs has failed, the car will still start and run, but it will run poorly. On some vehicles, spark plug replacement may be labor intensive and involve removal of the intake plenum.
