This is my first time using YourMechanic and the experience has been exceptional. Shaun was very professional, courteous, and helpful. He took care of everything and left very little for me to worry about. He examined my car's problems and checked with me first before proceeding with the repairs, and took a couple high quality pictures to show what the problematic parts look like. For someone like me who knows little about the inner workings of cars, these pictures have been very helpful and educational. The final amount I paid for Shaun's service was exactly the same in my quote, which was half of my dealer's quote! Would definitely come back for his service again.

Chad was polite and knows his trade. He finished the job timely basis. I will recommend him to my other friends if they need any automotive works. Only thing I will mention here that he broke the handle of oil deep stick and did not tell me about it. I found the broken piece after he left my place. I hope to find another deep stick otherwise I have to work with the broken one.

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
