Steven called an hour ahead of time and I explained to him the problems. By the time he showed up, he already had an idea what was wrong and went to work. As soon as he felt his diagnosis was correct, I ran and purchased the part and he quickly replaced it and the car started right up. It was a great experience. We will definitely use your mechanic again and Steven is our go to guy!

My car's brakes were making a grinding noise, so I needed both the front and back pads to be changed. Pete was originally scheduled for Friday afternoon. About 30 minutes before my appointment time, he gave me a call and told me that he would be running late and asked if I wanted to reschedule. It was raining, so I opted to reschedule for the following morning. On Saturday morning, Pete arrived 20 minutes early and was extremely professional and friendly. I live in an apartment, so he met me in a parking lot across the street. He was sure to make me feel comfortable and he went out of his way to ensure that I trusted him with my vehicle. Pete was done in record time and he even showed me the old pads and pointed out which one was grinding. I will definitely be using YourMechanic again!

All about Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Many newer cars have computerized engine management systems that rely on sensors to report data to the computer. The crankshaft position sensor is used in conjunction with the camshaft position sensor to control ignition timing and to let the computer know when to inject fuel and provide spark sequence. Due to the mounting locations of this sensor, it is common for heat and oil leaks to cause this sensor to fail.
