Pete

Pete came twice (at two different times about two to three months apart) to service my 2005 Honda Odyssey van. The first time was for timing belt system replacement and the second time was for front break service. Pete is very knowledge about the system of a car and I believe he has had many years (may be 10+) of experiences fixing cars. He did great work, was reliable, and explained to me what he was going to do. After he finished the work, he showed me what he did. I am happy with his work or his fixing and felt safer with the car after his services. I would have him work on my car in the future when services are due. I also asked him for his expertise about why one tire of that van wore out faster than expected and he was willing to listen and patiently explained to me that the cause was likely the wheels are out of alignment and recommended me taking the car to a shop to have an alignment done.

All about Brake Pad Replacement

Depending on your car’s brake system, it may use between 4 to 8 brake pads. When you step on the brake pedal, the master cylinder sends fluid under pressure to the brake calipers (which hold the brake pads). The caliper presses the brake pad against the brake rotor, causing friction that slows down the car. During normal usage of the brakes, brake pads wear out and become thinner. If the thickness of brake pads is less than 3mm, it is time to change the pads. Depending on where you drive (city driving tends to wear pads out quicker) brake pads usually last between 30,000 to 35,000 miles. Some vehicles (e.g., BMWs) are equipped with a low-pad-warning system. In these vehicles, you will also need to replace the brake sensors as part of the brake pad service.
