An awesome experience. Lucas' knowledge of cars is matched only by hit sense of humor and honesty. I was really impressed with the whole experience and would recommend YourMechanic to anyone, based largely on Lucas. He told me what my 20-year old Ford truck did and more importantly, didn't need, which is rare.

very good mechanic, my problem was not obvious at first and he kept at it a lot longer than either of us expected. He found the issue and gave me a fair quote to get the repair.

All about Ignition Cable (Spark plug wires) Replacement

The ignition cables, also known as “spark plug wires” are part of the ignition system. They transfer the spark from the distributor or ignition coil to spark plugs that ignite the air-fuel mixture, starting the engine. Over time, the cables can get weak and break down. This will make it harder for the spark to reach the engine cylinders, resulting in engine misfires. The car may not start at all. If one of the spark plugs has gone bad, the car will still start and run, but it will run poorly.
