Almost an hour ahead of time and finished at the time I expected him to just be showing up! Was a nice guy and very informative and thorough with his inspection. Did a great job on my repair and made sure it was good to go instead of just fixing it and running.

Dan arrived 25 minutes prior to our appointment which was great. He also called ahead to confirm the appointment. He worked quickly and efficiently and had the repair completed within 45 minutes. I am extremely satisfied with he's expertise and the service rendered, and all at less than half of what the dealership quoted me. With over 30 years of experience in mechanics, you can trust that Dan will satisfy whatever need your vehicle has. I will always use your mechanic in the future for all of my vehicular maintenance and I strongly suggest that anyone who needs repairs to give them a shot. Thanks to Dan and your!

All about Thermostat Replacement

A thermostat is part of the cooling system that regulates the temperature of the coolant in the engine. The thermostat is a metal valve that has a temperature sensor built in. It can either be open or closed. When the thermostat is closed, it keeps the coolant in the engine. When the engine gets to a predetermined temperature, the thermostat opens allowing coolant to circulate. The circulation of coolant prevents the engine from overheating. If the thermostat fails to open, the car will overheat. If the thermostat fails to close, the engine may never reach the optimal temperature (~220F). The thermostat opens and closes many times when the car engine is running. It is the most common component in the cooling system to fail, causing the car to overheat.
