I am completely satisfied with the service Patrick provided. He was very professional and listened to all of my concerns (unlike the dealer service department). Patrick and YourMechanic communicated every step of the way. I would recommend Patrick to anyone needing service on their vehicle.

Professional, honest, and fast. He told and showed me exactly what was or was not needed for the car (repair was replacing brake discs and pads). If something didn't need to be done, he told me outright or told me the factors to consider. There was no pushy upselling -- a rarity these days. I will definitely be using his and yourmechanic's services in the future.

All about Brake Rotors/Discs Replacement

A brake rotor is a smooth metal disc attached to the wheel hub. Most new cars (1999 and above) come with rotors at each wheel. Older cars may have drums instead of rotors at the rear wheels . Brake rotors play an important part in the braking system. It is the friction between brake pads and rotors that cause your car to slow down and stop. As the rotors wear out (become thin or warped), they are unable to dissipate the heat caused by the braking system. This will cause the brake fluid to boil and reduce the effectiveness of brake system significantly.
