Godwin

I have worked on my own vehicles since I was 18. I moved to LA 2 years ago, without my tools. I heard about YourMechanic.com through a friend of mine. Godwin called me the night before to make sure my info was correct, texted me in the morning when he was on his way, and was early and ready to go. Godwin was professional, informative and very organized. When he was finished, he went over his repair and also other items that were in need of attention. He actually came to my place of work to do the repair, and left everything cleaner than when he showed up. I am very pleased with the experience, from start to finish. Godwin Tsui, through YourMechanic, is now my mechanic to go to.

Xavier did a great job for me, quickly diagnosing the problem (which my diagnosis had been wrong, btw,). Additionally he thoroughly checked out the car for safety and quick maintenance ideas. Very easy to talk to and very informative. I look forward to using him again.

All about Intake Manifold Gaskets Replacement

The intake manifold is an aluminum, steel or plastic cover that sits on top of the engine. It is attached to the top of the engine by an intake manifold gasket (or gaskets) that is made of plastic and rubber. The intake manifold directs the air-fuel mixture in the engine to the corresponding cylinder where it is burned to produce power. The coolant flows through the intake manifold to the cylinder heads to reduce engine temperature. Expansion, contraction, and heat from the engine cause the gasket to fail. This will cause coolant passing through the intake manifold to leak. A leaky manifold gasket can also result in air being sucked through the leaky gasket, resulting in a vacuum leak and poor engine performance.
