Joshua was a bit late, but it was completely understandable given the rain that day and the terrible traffic. He called well in advance to warn me and gave me his updated ETA. I was purchasing a used vehicle and wanted to have it inspected before the purchase. Joshua showed up and spent a fair amount of time going through a very thorough check list and doing a test drive. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave me the details on everything he found. All fairly small items, but very useful during the negotiating process with the dealership. I was extremely happy with his work and will definitely recommend YourMechanic and Joshua to friends. Even the guys at the dealership were impressed with his work. Thanks Joshua!

Mike was a very nice man but he didn't know where the part was located on the car and the part he replaced did not fix my car. So my money was thrown away in the wind. I think the part was a bad part. What he said needed to be replaced is suppose to last the life time of the car. My car doesn't even have 70,000 miles on it yet. So I think he didn't know what he was talking about. I was planning on telling good things about Your Mechanic to all my friends and family but not now only bad.

All about Car Radiator Replacement

The radiator performs a critical function; it keeps the engine from overheating. While running, the engine produces heat. Coolant flowing through the system absorbs and removes extra heat from the engine. The coolant then passes through the radiator where it cools off and is later circulated back to the engine to absorb heat again. A radiator has two tanks that are connected to each other through aluminum or brass tubes. When the coolant passes through these tubes, the radiator cooling fan blows air across the radiator to lower the temperature of the coolant. The tank is usually made of plastic, and it is common for it to crack and start leaking coolant. If the tank or the tubes crack, coolant will leak , the vehicle will overheat and could cause severe engine damage. Radiators also tend to clog over time. When this occurs, not enough coolant flows through the radiator leading to heat build-up, causing the engine to overheat.
