Your Mechanic is excellent!! After calling several mechanics and garages for quotes about replacing a radiator, I tried Your Mechanic. I received a quote within 2 hours that was considerably less than every place I had called AND the mechanic (Joshua Floyd) came to my house to do the work! Mr. Floyd did an excellent job of explaining to me what the job entailed, how long it would take, and how my truck should run after he was done. Less than an hour later my truck had a new radiator and Your Mechanic (and Joshua Floyd) has an extremely happy customer! I will definitely use them again!

Jay did a great job and explained everything that my car needed. My car is back up and running and I didn't need to tow it to the shop; the shop came to me. Jay knows what he is doing and I would definitely have Jay out again if needed.

First, the ease of maneuvering through the website was on point. A call to customer service about a typo I did before I hit the submit button, was fixed in a matter of minutes. Now on to the review of "My New Mechanic"..Robert. I will try to make this short. I run a non-profit organization for youth, running kids to and fro. So my suburban is a BUS and a MUST. Robert not only came and did the required work, he let me know some other issues that my vehicle was having as well. Very professional, work was done in timely manner, and OMG!!...you could not even tell that a mechanic had just finished working in my driveway!!NEAT AND CLEAN. I will definitely be making another appointment for my suburban with Robert. Thanks Your Mechanic!!

All about Car Radiator Replacement

The radiator performs a critical function; it keeps the engine from overheating. While running, the engine produces heat. Coolant flowing through the system absorbs and removes extra heat from the engine. The coolant then passes through the radiator where it cools off and is later circulated back to the engine to absorb heat again. A radiator has two tanks that are connected to each other through aluminum or brass tubes. When the coolant passes through these tubes, the radiator cooling fan blows air across the radiator to lower the temperature of the coolant. The tank is usually made of plastic, and it is common for it to crack and start leaking coolant. If the tank or the tubes crack, coolant will leak , the vehicle will overheat and could cause severe engine damage. Radiators also tend to clog over time. When this occurs, not enough coolant flows through the radiator leading to heat build-up, causing the engine to overheat.
