The whole thing was great. I had them go to a dealer and perform a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle I was considering buying. I wasn't at the dealer when the inspection was performed but when Stefan was finished he called me and we talked about the vehicle and then he posted the inspection results on-line. This is the first time I've used Your Mechanic and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Tom was very personable and enjoyable to work with. Right when he arrived, I felt completely at ease with him. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The problem I had with the car didn't show up when he was here but he looked at all the possibilities and found the car to be in generally good shape and made some recommendations of what might have been the issue. Additionally he found my rear brakes to be in desperate need of replacement. I scheduled an appointment for him to come out at a later date to repair them and look forward to his visit! I will continue to request Tom to work on all my cars.

All about Brake Rotors/Discs Replacement

A brake rotor is a smooth metal disc attached to the wheel hub. Most new cars (1999 and above) come with rotors at each wheel. Older cars may have drums instead of rotors at the rear wheels . Brake rotors play an important part in the braking system. It is the friction between brake pads and rotors that cause your car to slow down and stop. As the rotors wear out (become thin or warped), they are unable to dissipate the heat caused by the braking system. This will cause the brake fluid to boil and reduce the effectiveness of brake system significantly.
