Hydraulic lines are what make the brakes work in your car. Your car can have as many as four brake hoses, each of which is attached to a braking component. When you push the brake pedal, the hoses transfer brake fluid to the brake calipers or wheel cylinder via the master cylinder. The calipers squeeze the brake pads against the rotors, causing your car to either stop or slow down. If the brake fluid isn’t moving because the hydraulic lines are cracked or leaking, then your brakes won’t work.
Never ignore faulty brakes. Hydraulic lines can loosen or crack, and when that happens you’ll have little or no stopping power. Any issues with your brakes should be taken care of immediately, so have one of our expert mechanics diagnose and repair any problems with your braking system.
If your car brakes aren’t working properly, you’re endangering yourself and others. Any brake problems should be dealt with immediately. You can check your brake fluid reservoir to make sure that you’re not just low on fluid, but if the problem isn’t resolved by topping up the fluid, have your car inspected by one of our mechanics right away. If you have hydraulic line leaks, have them replaced immediately.
